A local inbound operator arranges everything on the ground: transfers, tours, boat schedules, entrance fees and rescheduling for weather. Always ask whether vehicles are their own and licensed, and whether the guide speaks English.
Whale watching
Whale watching companies operate from Puerto Pirámides with RIBs or catamarans. Season June to December.
Boat trips
Coastal boat trips, snorkeling with sea lions and dolphin watching on Golfo Nuevo.
Scuba diving
Discover scuba, courses and diving with sea lions. Puerto Madryn has underwater parks and wrecks minutes from the coast.
Mountain biking
Coastal routes towards Punta Loma and El Doradillo, and bike rental on the waterfront. Mind the wind: plan your return with a tailwind.
Sea kayaking
Guided sea kayak trips on the gulf, with wetsuit and guide. Only with wind under 25 km/h.
Entertainment
Ecocentro, the Natural Sciences and Oceanographic Museum, the Welsh Landing Museum, craft breweries and the waterfront promenade.
Other activities
