What the numbers mean
- Less than 200 mm (8 in) of rain a year: a semi-arid climate. Expect very few rainy days.
- Big day–night swings: in spring it can be 25 °C (77 °F) in the afternoon and 6 °C (43 °F) at night.
- The sea never goes above 18–19 °C (64–66 °F): wetsuits are used all year for snorkeling and diving.
- September to November is the windiest period.
