This is the short tour of the destination: 3 to 4 hours combining the town’s history with the Punta Loma Wildlife Reserve, a South American sea lion colony you watch all year from a cliff-top viewpoint, 17 km (10 miles) from downtown.

- Waterfront: 6 km of urban beach on Golfo Nuevo.
- Punta Cuevas: the caves where the Welsh settlers sheltered in 1865, the Welsh Landing Museum and the Tehuelche Indian monument, unveiled in 1965 for the centenary.
- Ecocentro: optional stop at the marine interpretation center.
- Punta Loma: sea lions, cormorants and, with luck, dusky dolphins in the bay.
